How it works
Calculated first. Explained second.
AI never guesses your chart. Rules calculate the pillars from your true solar time and the exact solar terms; AI only explains them.
- 算CalculateYour birth time is converted to true solar time for your birthplace, then matched against the solar term that sets your month pillar.
- 理InterpretFixed rules work out your Day Master, element balance, ten gods and luck pillars before any text is written.
- 說ExplainAI turns those findings into a reading you can follow, and every claim points back to the pillar it came from.

Ding Fire: the candle, not the sun
Your Day Master is Ding, Yin Fire. Where Bing Fire is the sun that lights everything, Ding is a candle: it lights one thing well. You tend to notice details other people miss, and you care deeply about the few things you commit to.
You were born in the Snake month at the start of summer, when Fire is at its peak. That gives your candle unusual staying power. Two Metal stems on your year and month pillars are Wealth stars for you, which shows up as a quick eye for value and a habit of turning ideas into something real.

AI Bazi reading: questions
Short answers about how the chart and the AI reading work.
Bazi (八字, "eight characters") is the Chinese practice of reading the four pillars of your birth: year, month, day and hour. An AI Bazi reading pairs a precise chart calculation with an AI model that explains the chart in plain language. At ezfate the chart is always calculated by rules first, and the AI only interprets it.
Your Four Pillars chart and the explanation of every character in it are free and need no account. The full AI reading and follow-up questions need a free account.
A reading can only be as accurate as the chart underneath it. We correct for true solar time, daylight saving time and solar term boundaries, which is where many free calculators go wrong. Interpretation is a tradition, not a science, so use it as a lens for reflection rather than a prediction.
You still get three of the four pillars: year, month and day. The hour pillar and the exact start of your luck pillars need the time, so the reading marks anything that depends on it.
The calculator runs in your browser. Your details are only stored if you save a chart to your account, and saved charts can be deleted at any time.
No. Your zodiac animal is just one of the eight characters in a Bazi chart (the year branch). Bazi reads all eight, with the stem of your day pillar as the center of the chart.
ezfate is a tool for self-reflection. The chart is a calculation from the Chinese calendar, and the reading interprets it in the Bazi tradition. Use it as a lens for thinking about your life, not as a prediction, and not as medical, legal or financial advice.
Yes. The Bazi compatibility calculator puts two charts side by side: how the Day Masters meet, whether the spouse palaces combine or clash, the elements you give each other and what the birth years add, scored out of 100. It is free and needs no account.
