Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ezfate (ezfate.com, "we", "us") handles when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. In short: you can use every calculator without an account, we do not store the birth details you enter, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect

Birth details you enter. To draw a chart we need a date of birth and, optionally, a time, a place and a gender. These are sent to our servers only to calculate the chart and are not saved in our database. Your browser keeps your last entry on your own device (local storage) so the form is filled in next time; you can clear it from your browser at any time.

Share links. When you copy a share link, the birth details are written into the link itself. Anyone you send it to can see them, so share it only with people you trust.

Account details. If you create an account we store your email address, your name, a securely hashed password (or the sign-in provider you chose, such as Google) and the sessions that keep you signed in.

Messages you send us. If you contact support, we keep the conversation so we can answer it.

Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and keeps them in short-lived logs for security and reliability. If analytics is enabled, we use it to count visits and understand which pages are useful; it is configured not to identify you personally.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries:

• Session — keeps you signed in (only when you have an account).
• Language — remembers the language you chose, so the site opens in it next time.
• Referral — notes which site or campaign brought you here, for 30 days.
• Preferences — your colour theme and your last birth details, stored on your device only.
• Analytics — only if analytics is enabled, to measure visits.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculators keep working without them; signing in needs the session cookie.

How we use information

We use information to calculate and show your charts, run your account, answer your messages, keep the service secure, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We will email you about your account (for example to verify your address or reset your password). We will only send other news if you have agreed to it, and every such email can be unsubscribed from.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run the site for us, under contracts that limit their use of it:

• hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare);
• email delivery, for account emails;
• sign-in providers, if you choose to sign in with one;
• analytics, if enabled;
• payment processors, once paid features exist — they handle your card details directly and we never see the full number.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the service.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Birth details entered into the calculators are not stored on our servers. Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days after you ask us to delete it, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information or California law), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict some uses of it. To make a request, email us from the address on your account. We will answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

ezfate is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted access to our systems. No service can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password.

Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will also tell you by email or on the site.
