Officer and Killings mixed (官殺混雜)When it forms, what it means for your life, how to use it, and a real example

Updated October 15, 2026

Officer and Seven Killings mixed (官殺混雜) is when the Direct Officer and Seven Killings both appear in a chart. Both control the Day Master, one proper and one indirect, one gentle and one harsh; together, duties, pressures and rules pull against each other and the Day Master is torn. In a woman's chart, tradition also reads it as complicated choices in love.

How to tell if your chart has Officer and Killings mixed (官殺混雜)

The Direct Officer and Seven Killings both appear on stems (or one on a stem and one as a branch's main qi). The weaker the Day Master, the heavier the pressure. If one is combined away or restrained ('remove the Officer, keep the Killings' or the reverse), it no longer counts as mixed.
